Paolo was born in Rome, where he graduated in Mathematics and then studied Creative Writing and Screenwriting. After working for many years as Camera operator, Editor, Still photographer and Assistant director, Paolo became a Director, realising audiovisual productions shown on major television channels (MTV, DEEJAY TV, etc.) and on main Italian web newspapers, such as Corriere.it, Repubblica.it, Gazzetta.it and Rollingstonemagazine.it. He has directed over 40 videos, shooting promos and commercials for companies such as Fox, Sony, Disney, Nike, Juventus, as well as music videos for EMI Music, Universal Music, Sony Music, Warner Music, Edel and Sugar. For these companies, he has also directed some live documentaries during the tours of national and international stars. In September 2011, his work “Basta così” for the Italian band Negramaro featuring Elisa was shown and given an award at the 68th International Film Festival of Venice during the “Cinema meets Music” event. Paolo is currently working on his debut feature film – an international co-production – and a short film (“Big Balloon!”), for which he has already obtained recognition of cultural interest and funding from the Ministry of Culture in Italy (MIBACT).
