Before joining Floréal Films in 2018, Katayoun Dibamehr has worked actively in the festival scene of Montréal since 2009 (MUTEK, Pop Montréal, RIDM). On the side, she passionately promoted independent multidisciplinary artists and their work. Cofounder of La Elastica, an organization founded to promote development and the convergence between film, new media immersive storytelling and multidisciplinary performances, she is behind the production of several multimedia performances The Phaedra Project by Sophie Gee (Montréal), La Fatigue de Les Filles Föllen (Barcelona).  Since 2011, she collaborated with Montreal Festival nouveau cinema and explored angles of programming in sections such as FNC Lab (multimedia performances) and FNC EXPLORE (new media content). As she keeps curating for FNC EXPLORE, Katayoun wishes to get closer, support and represent artists, leaning towards the production of innovative, immersive and multi-screen contents.
