Monica Dugo was born in Messina on December 8, 1969.
After a valid career as a professional Ballerina, she moved on to acting studying with various teachers, including Ivana Chubback.
She was the protagonist of a theatre in “Guys and dolls” by the company of Rancia, and on television in sitcoms such as “Colpi di sole” and “Hot” directed by Ricci and Forte.
Monica participated as co-star in numerous TV series for Rai and Channel 5, alongside Bud Spencer, Vanessa Incontrada, Violante Placido, Sabrina Ferilli, Vanessa Scalera.
Monica has worked, among others, with Leonardo Pieraccioni, Peter Del monte, Andrea Porporati, Michele Soavi, Ricky Tognazzi, Stefano Reali, Giulio Manfredonia and Paolo Sorrentino.
She is currently engaged in a fiction directed by Francesco Amato and a film for Amazon Prime.
As an author Monica started writing the lyrics for her comic characters in 2006, she collaborated as a screenwriter with Andrea Porporati.
As a Film Director Monica made a short film “Domani smetto” in 2015 which today boasts about thirty awards.
She worked as a reader for Rai cinema in 2012, and continued as a reader first and then as an editor for the 11 Marzo Film Production Company.
