Luca Buzzi Reschini is a screenwriter and director based in Turin.
Born in 1995 in Varese, he grew up in a small provincial town and developed a passion for cinema, starting to write the first reviews and screenplays of short films at the age of sixteen. He made his first set experiences on independent short films between Varese and Milan, developing knowledge of the various departments and at the same time working on his writing.
In 2016 he moved to Turin to study Cinema at the Scuola Holden, from which he graduated directing the teaser and writing the concept of Democracia, winner of the Phoebe Prize 2018 for best audiovisual project. After his studies he began to work in Turin, directing music videos, company commercials and his first self-produced short film, entitled Fame, winner of the special mention at the Premio Ermanno Olmi.
Interested in literature as well as cinema, he writes short stories and works as a ghost writer of biographies.
During the first lockdown in 2020 he wrote with Lorenzo Ferrò the self produced feature Islanda, a micro budget movie with the production realized thanks to the voluntary work offered by professionals, students and friends who deeply believed in the project. Filming for the movie was completed in August 2020 and is currently in post production.
He’s developing the screenplay of a short film named Scirocco, selected as a finalist in the Corto Sardegna section of the last Olbia Film Network.
