Bingham Bryant is a producer, director, writer and film programmer based in New York. His feature debut For the Plasma screened at BAMcinémaFest, Entrevues Belfort, Maryland, IndieLisboa and Jeonju, and is distributed in the US by Factory 25. He produced Dear Renzo for directors Agostina Gálvez and Francisco Lezama – acquired for international distribution by HBO and an official selection at the Viennale, FICUNAM, BAFICI and Palm Springs. His short Foreign Powers premiered at the New York Film Festival, and his films have been written about in Artforum, The New Yorker, The New York Times, BOMB, Les Inrockuptibles and Cahiers du cinéma. He has worked as a film publicist at Cinetic Media and was the head of programming at streaming platform Le Cinéma Club. He recently curated the first-ever North American retrospective of the director-producer Paul Vecchiali at New York’s Metrograph, and has written on cinema and film restoration for Filmmaker Magazine, The Brooklyn Rail, MUBI Notebook and other publications. He is currently in post-production on Doomed and Famous, an experimental portrait of art critic and collector Adrian Dannatt co-produced by Miguel Abreu, and developing his second directorial feature, A Sun Sets in the East.
