XR creator and research-based artist. Daming holds a doctorate degree in Scenography from the Central Academy of Drama in China. With a unique perspective rooted in theatre, Daming delves into the realm of XR (AR/VR/MR). Her debut VR dance film, “Or Bit” (2019), garnered international acclaim and was celebrated at numerous festivals and exhibitions. Daming’s VR story, “SHH” (2022), commissioned by the 50th Hong Kong Arts Festival, stood as the sole Chinese entry in the official VR Animation Competition Programme at the World Festival of Animated Film – Animafest Zagreb 2023.

Since 2021, Daming has been appointed as the Expert at the Shanghai Key Laboratory of Virtual Performing Arts. Previously, she spearheaded the experimental performing arts project “ReActor” as the project lead at the Power Station of Art, a prominent venue for the Shanghai Biennale. Currently, Daming is the Lecturer at the School of Art and Communication at China Jiliang University.
