Caroline Oliveira is a Brazilian producer based in New York City. She was born in São Paulo where she received a Bachelors degree in Advertising and Marketing. She began her career working as an assistant director and producer for high end TV commercials in São Paulo. Caroline holds an MFA from New York University’s Graduate Film Program, where she was a departmental fellow. She has produced several films including The Chair (2012 Cannes Film Festival, Official Selection, Short Film Competition; Winner Best Narrative short at SXSW’12; Winner Best Narrative Short at LAFF’ 2012) and Edge of the Woods (South Carolina Film Commission Grant, starring Kiernan Shipka from AMC’s Mad Men). She is also a co-producer on the feature film Go Down Death (2012 IFP Narrative Film Lab) and a producer on the upcoming feature Baby Lu (2012 IFP Emerging Narratives). Caroline is inspired by scripts that boldly challenge societal norms through personal stories.
