Raymond van der Kaaij is an experienced media industry executive with over ten years of experience in development, financing, production and distribution and general management.
He is the founder of Revolver Amsterdam; a creative and hybrid production company focused on feature films, documentaries, digital media and branded content. Besides being responsible for the overall management, Raymond particularly focuses on business development, innovation and building an international, diverse and successful slate of projects.
Raymond loves to work on projects that engage with audiences through original content and compelling storytelling. Helping to create inherently diverse work that is unified by his love for good stories, digital media, film and advertising. His expertise ranges from traditional to digital and online media, from feature films to integrated campaigns, from social media and viral to transmedia projects. His specialities are creative development and production, storytelling strategies, format development, film financing and international coproductions, digital media, cross cultural and cross platform development and production, transmedia storytelling.
As a producer and co-producer, Raymond has worked on award winning feature films and documentaries that where shown on festivals worldwide. Next to film and documentaries, Raymond has been involved (as executive or creative producer) in numerous commercials, branded video campaigns and transmedia projects for clients such as G-Star, Philips, Adidas and Nike. His last transmedia project HUMAN BIRDWINGS reached over 20M views on Youtube and was a worldwide headline sensation.
Raymond holds a BA in Business Administration and Commercial Management of the Rotterdam University for Professional Studies (Hogeschool Rotterdam).
He is a member of of EAVE, the European Network for Producers, and alumnus of Inside Pictures, a high-profile executive program for industry professionals with a proven track record.
Raymond served as a jury member at several film festivals and has regularly gives lectures and workshops on creative producing, online storytelling and new ways of financing and distribution of content.
In his private life, Raymond rides his racing bike and his co-owner of a company that builds exclusive handmade steel racing bikes.
