Teresa Sala works between Milan and Bologna as a freelance director and filmmaker. She mainly deals with documentaries and institutional videos, but in her career has explored different forms, contents and durations: commercials, short films, videodance, videoperformance and docufiction. She alternates commissioned work with personal projects. In 2013, together with the anthropologist and videomaker Rita Maralla, she gave rise to Marsala a project of cross-media artistic research on the relationship between body, space and identity. In 2017 she made Non è amore questo, a medium-length film on the emotional and sexual life of Barbara Apuzzo, affected by artogriposis. The film benefited from Mibact funding and was premiered at FilmmakerFest 2017.
