Lemohang Jeremiah Mosese is a Lesotho/South african self-taught filmmaker. He now spends most of his time between Lesotho, South Africa and Berlin. His work includes narrative of two short films, art videos, currently on the post – production of his latest film, ‘Mother, I am suffocating. This is my last film about you’, which has won widest awards in Final Cut Venice 2018. Two of his short films, ‘Mosonngoa’ (2014) and Behemoth – or the game of god’ (2015), have been screened numerous international film festivals, including Clermont Ferrand International Film Festival, Raindance International Film Festival, Kinodot Film Festival, Festival del Cinema Africano, d’Asia e America Latina, as well as the Durban International Film Festival and L’Étrange Festival. The short film, ‘Mosonngoa’, won him the ‘Best Short Film’ as well as the special award on “PremioAssociazione Sunugal” in Milan in 2016. ‘Behemoth – or the game of god’ has won ‘Best Short Film’ at the Kinodot Film Festival in 2016, the Signs Award at Festival International Signes de Nuit Student Jury Prize in 2016 and the Special Jury Prize at Moscow International Experimental Film Festival in 2016. In addition, the film has won the ‘Best short film’ at DYSPLA International Moving Image Festival. Best short film at Africajarc.
Mosese is also an alumnus of the Berlinale Talent Campus (2012) and Focus Features Africa First (2012). Realness: screenwriting residency (2017).
