Emilia Haukka (1986) was born in Luxembourg yet grew up in Finland. After graduating from high
school, she studied in the University of Lapland and graduated with a Master of Arts degree in Art
Education. Her passion towards cinema originates from working in grass-roots initiatives and
organisations promoting diverse and open film culture. Emilia has produced international film
events, screenings and workshops both in Finland and abroad with NISI MASA European Network
of Young Cinema, Euphoria Borealis, the Kino Movement and Future Shorts Finland.
The first film set she joined was director Hannaleena Hauru’s short film Mercy All The Way (2014). In
2015 she joined Aamu Film Company as a producer to work alongside producer Jussi Rantamäki. The
first feature they worked on together was The Happiest Day in the Life of Olli Mäki, which won Prix un
Certain Regard in Cannes 2016 and was sold to over 30 countries. Her other credits include Thick Lashes
of Lauri Mäntyvaara (2017), Hannaleena Hauru’s debut feature, TV series Love&Order (2017), the short
film The Tiger (2018) which premiered in Cannes Critics’ Week and short documentary 1,5 meters space
which premiered at FIPADOC 2019.
At Aamu she and Jussi work together in long-term relationships with four carefully selected directors.
Our goal is to develop their approach to cinema and to find a specific audience for each of them.
Other than cinema, Emilia enjoys contemporary dance and excellent coffee.
