Diandra Arriaga is a Mexican producer, part of Colectivo Colmena. She produced her first documentary, “Grietas ” (Lakino16) in 2013 and has since collaborated with a wide variety of national and international production companies.
She joined Colectivo Colmena in 2018 where she has forged a methodology that emphasizes in horizontal and collaborative work, focusing on producing with a creative approach. Their films seek to ignite conversations about the situations that afflict Mexican society.
Her first feature film MOSTRO, directed by José Pablo Escamilla, had its world premiere at the Concorso Cineasti del presente competition during 74 Locarno, winning the Boccalino D’oro awarded by the independent Swiss critics.
She’s currently financing “Lumbrensueño” (ALCA La Prevote Residency) and “Adiós a Satán” (La Fabrique du Cinemas du Monde 2022), the next films by Escamilla
