Vincenzo De Masi is currently Associate Professor of CTV at UIC Zhuhai. Prior to this appointment, he was Associate Professor in Art and Media Technology at the New York Institute of Technology for 4 years where he taught Cinema, TV and New Media (for graduate and undergraduate students). He obtained his Ph.D. at University of Lugano and Zurich (ProDoc) with a dissertation on the Creative Industries in Asia focusing on China. In Lugano, he was also an Assistant Professor for several years. His research focuses on Social Media in Asia and VR production. He has published numerous articles and collective books on these subjects. Lastly, he is Founder and Director of Italian Film Summer School Veneto together with Dr. Massiliano D’Ambra.
