The selection has been completed for the four projects, from Italy, Kenya, Nigeria, Cambodia, USA and India, that will move on to the production phase for the feature-length films of the 13th edition (2024 – 2025) of the Biennale College Cinema. From Wednesday December 4ththe screenwriting workshop begins and will end on December 7th. From January 11th to 16th the the pre-production workshop will take place.
The four teams of the 13th edition (2024 – 2025) of the Biennale College Cinema, consisting of a director and a producer, are as follows:
AGNUS DEI (Italy) – director: Massimiliano Camaiti; producer: Giovanna Nicolai, (2nd feature)
1 WOMAN, 1 BRA (Kenya/Nigeria) – director: Vincho Nchogu; producer: Josh Olaoluwa (1st feature)
BECOMING HUMAN (Cambodia/USA) – director: Polen Ly; producer: Daniel Mattes (2nd feature)
SECRET OF A MOUNTAIN SERPENT (India) – director: Nidhi Saxena; producer: Vimukthi Jayasundara (2nd feature)
After the conclusion of the pre-production, the actual production of the four micro-budget feature-length films now begins, with a € 200,000 grant each from La Biennale. The four films will be presented at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival of La Biennale di Venezia 2025.
