After The Fits, which got its U.S. premiere at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival, another project of the 3rd Biennale College – Cinema is flying to the States: Baby Bump. The film, directed by Kuba Czekaj and produced by Magdalena Kaminska and Agata Szymanska, will have its U.S. premiere at the 2016 South by Southwest Festival in the Visions section. Here’s the synopsis:
11-year-old Mickey House is no longer a child. But who is he? He doesn’t know. He’s friendless. He doesn’t understand his mother. He hates what’s happening to his body. Reality and imagination come together in a toxic mix. Events escalate to extremes… at home and at school. Mickey has to find the strength within him to put a stop to what’s begun. Where will his encounter with his own maturing body take him? Growing up… not for kids.
Baby Bump will screen on Saturday, March 12 at 9:15pm at the Alamo Lamar A, and then on Monday, March 14 at 11:30am, and on Thursday, March 17 at 2:15pm. More info here.
