The Fits set the 2nd best per-screen average of the weekend in the States during its first weekend. Released by Oscilloscope Laboratories at the Metrograph in NYC, the movie gathered an average per-screen of $11,300. Oscilloscope is releasing the film in other cities and theaters next week on June 10:

The film is a winner of 2014/15 Biennale College – Cinema and it world premiered at the 72. Venice International Film Festival. It is directed by Anna Rose Holmer, produced by Lisa Kjerulff, co-written by Holmer, Kjerulff and Saela Davis. It stars Royalty Hightower (Toni) and Alexis Neblett (Beezy). It played at Sundance, New Directors/New Films and Rooftop Films, among others.
