Shen Wei grew up in Beijing, China. He moved to England in the age of 16, and received his bachelor’s degree in Philosophy at King’s College London. He then studied film production at School of Cinematic Arts, University of Southern California. Shen Wei began his career as a production assistant in films since 2009, and is currently working as producer, director and writer in Beijing. In 2015, he was invited as guest instructor at China Academy of Art.
Shen Wei’s producing credits include God Bless the Eaten Ones (short film, 2011, China), Di Tre Re (short film, 2012, UK), Locksmiths (short film, 2015, USA) and Ubu (theatre, 2014, China). His productions had been exhibited in China Film Archive, National Centre for Performing Arts Beijing, The Cockpit Theatre London and various international film festivals.
