Nino Shaburishvili is a georgian film director and writer. she is born in 1983, in tbilisi. as a child, she became fascinated with soviet films and spent hours in the soviet publishing house where his father worked as a hand-painted film
poster artist. the collapse of the soviet union followed by difficult years for georgia has strongly affected her in adolescence age and she started writing.
In 2011 nino moved in france where she graduated at strasbourg university as a film director. her debut short film guest was shot in 2016 in the georgian village.
The film was premiered at aesthetica short film festival, filmfest dresden and aubagne international film festival among others and has won a special jury prize at batumi international art-house film festival.
currently shaburishvili lives in her hometown tbilisi where she is working on her debut feature film writing, entitled the chaos of silence.
