Following a degree in Political Science and an Arts Management and Administration Masters degree from Bocconi University, Pilar Saavedra Perrotta started her career in film production working with major Italian movie companies such as Filmauro and Wildside. This collaboration gave Ms Saavedra Perrotta the chance to follow the production of several films and television projects, among which Me and You by director Bernardo Bertolucci.

In 2012 Ms. Saavedra Perrotta founded her own film company and after producing several short movies such as Romeo by Marcello Di Noto, Love Sharing by Monica Scattini and Non al denaro, non al vento nè al sole by Marco Calvise, in 2019 she produced with RAI Cinema the long feature Lucania by director Gigi Roccati.
