Di Zhang is a director and screenwriter. Di is a graduate of the Central Academy of Drama (中央戏剧学院)  and Beijing Film Academy (北京电影学院) and is currently completing her MFA in Film Production at the University of Southern California. Di has served as a cinematographer with American director Tracy Droz Tragos for the documentary RICH HILL: AMERICAN GIRL – SARAH (2025), This film is currently late-production (with an anticipated release in 2025) and has received support from CATAPULT FILM FUND and the JOHN SIMON GUGGENHEIM FOUNDATION. She also served as a visual director and designer for films Zhang Yimou ’s SHADOW (2018) as well as ONCE UPON A TIME (2017) directed by Zhao Xiaoding and Anthony LaMolinara. As a screenwriter, she has written scripts for Legendary Entertainment and Emperor Entertainment Group, including PARADISE (adapted from the film SKYSCRAPER) and READY OR KNOT 2. Additionally, Di has written feature film script NON-STOP STATION which has been selected for the Golden Rooster Film Project Market and Film Laboratory, the Beijing International Film Festival Project Market, and the Macau International Film Festival Project Market.
