Omar Razzak is a Canarian filmmaker. Studying Audiovisual Communication (UCM) and Film Creation and Management (URJC) in Madrid. After training in Paris and Montreal he founds his own production company Tourmalet Films. Among his productions, “Stockholm” (Rodrigo Sorogoyen, 2013) with 3 nominations for the Goya Awards; the successful documentary “The inflated jungle” (Alejandro Naranjo, Colombia / Spain, 2015); or “Todo un futuro juntos” nominated for the best short film in the Goya 2014. As a director, he has released the documentary “Paradiso”, that was screened all over the world in festivals like Transylvania Film Festival, Brooklyn or SEMINCI; and “La tempestad calmada” supported by EURODOC and IBERDOC and screened to date at the ICA (London), Dok.fest München, DocumentaMadrid among others. He is also TV-Producer of the documentary series “Heroes Invisibles” for TVE2 (Cultural Spanish Public Television). In 2017 he was selected as Talents at the Berlinale and was invited to the XFilms Project of the Punto de Vista Festival.
