Kattie Fan Ho-ki is a promoter, curator, producer for moving images and new media arts. Currently she is the festival director of ifva – a short film and media art awards and festival organised by the Hong Kong Arts Centre (www.ifva.com). She is also a co-founder of the art.ware – an independent curatorial initiative focusing on the promotion of moving images and new media art in Hong Kong since 2010. As a double master degree holder, she dedicates to integrate theoretical knowledge with artistic and technical skills to create art experiences for people and gain a wider vision in life. Major projects including “Cinema 2.0” Media Art Exhibition (2010-2020), “ifva Everywhere Carnival” (2016/2018), “Indie is… Hong Kong Independent Short Films 1995 – 2014” (2015), “Animation Lab” (2012), “Bloomberg Emerging Artist Programme and Exhibition” (2008). She has been invited to be the assessor and jury member of various international film festivals, including Moscow International Film Festival, TBS DigiCon 6 Animation and Movie Awards, Up-and-coming International Film Festival and more. Her involvement in filmmaking began with the film editing for Christine Choy’s feature documentary “Ha Ha Shanghai” (2001). Then she involves in producing and editing several short films and independent features including Vincent Chui’s “Leaving in Sorrow”(2001), Tsang Tsui Shan’s “Big Blue Lake” (2011), Google Search Stories (2013), etc.
