Maria Herholdt Engermann is an award-winning virtual reality experience designer and producer, having spent the past 4 years specialising within the XR field. With a bachelor degree in VIA Film & Transmedia from Aarhus, Denmark, Maria has a deep passion for creating immersive experiences with enriched storytelling and challenging the use and understanding of storytelling on screen. Her primarily work consisting within the creative borders of VR production, consulting and strategy-planning on optimizing experiences.
In 2017 Maria co-founded MANND alongside Signe Ungermand. MANND focus on creating XR experiences for the purpose of commercial and entertainment, striving towards creating the next era of branded content, film and shared experiences. Multiple of Marias’ experiences have been exhibited at some of the largest A-ranked film festivals across the world, gaining both national and international recognition. Some of the main titles include Separate Silences, a hybrid cinematic VR experience and X-Ray Fashion, a VR documentary that she collaborated on with The World Bank – Connect4Climate, Paul G. Allen’s Vulcan Productions and Italian director Francesco Carrozzini.
